When it comes to a traditional festival in my country, the first one that springs to mind is Tet holiday. 

It has long been celebrated and embedded in the culture of Vietnam as the most crucial holiday. It generally takes place around late January or February and It’s such a joyous occasion for family gathering  by preparing traditional dishes like Chung cake, Giay cake and other conventional dishes. Besides that, people tend to purchase beautiful flowers like apricots in the South or peach blossoms in the North of Viet Nam. 

During these days, people would put on the traditional costume called ao dai and visit the houses of their friends and relatives in order to give the best wishes for them and red envelopes containing lucky money for children in order to bring fortune for them. 

Well,  Tet holiday is the right occasion for family members to show their affection to each other and it is also the chance for people working far away to gather with their families 

I really love this occasion because I can receive a lot of lucky money from other people which can help me put aside to purchase my study items. I'm really  look forward to it
