 Annually, my family celebrates Tet holiday by making Banh chung.  On the 31st day of the 12th lunar month, we prepare ingredients to make banh chung such as green beans, pork, sticky rice, dong leaves, pepper, salt and a bunch of soft bamboo slices. That afternoon, my family members gather together and ready for wrapping banh chung in front of the porch. On New Year's Eve, we often come together around the red fire and wait for the pot of banh chung to cook while reviewing memories of the past year. I'm really into this tradition because my family spends time together and after that, each of us understands each other better and we can maintain the Vietnamese tradition - making banh chung. I will keep this tradition by passing it on to my offsprings.
