1. One element of fine particulate air pollution is black carbon, also referred to as soot. It is produced when wood and fossil fuels are not fully burned; during this process, carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide, and volatile organic compounds are also produced. Because black carbon is so good at absorbing light, it warms the atmosphere. In areas where it is concentrated, it intensifies surface and air warming, changing ecosystem cycles and weather patterns. Even though black carbon is only in the atmosphere for a few days or weeks, it has a big effect on agriculture, human health, snow and ice, and the climate both directly and indirectly. Reducing emissions of black carbon can boost crop yields, stop premature death, and slow down the rate of global warming. Because of the short atmospheric lifetime of black carbon and its strong warming potential, specific emission reduction strategies can have a positive impact on the climate and human health quite quickly.
2. My dream city will be both livable and sustainable in the future. There won't be any environmental pollution. We'll make use of sustainable energy sources like wind and solar power. The city would be planned to reduce waste and increase the effectiveness of its resources. In addition to being made of easily recycled and repurposed materials, these buildings would be engineered to collect and repurpose rainwater and other natural energy sources. There would be a major decrease in traffic jams and air pollution thanks to the city's renewable energy infrastructure powering all electric public transportation. Additionally commonplace would be self-driving vehicles, which would lower accident rates and enable more effective use of the roads. All things considered, the perfect city of the future would be one that puts the needs of its citizens and the environment first, developing a thriving, inventive, and sustainable community that acts as an example for the rest of the globe.
