With reference to your notice on the University Bulletin, I would like to apply for the part-time job as a librarian at your university during this summer holiday.

I am in the third year of a four-year degree course in Business Administration at Bristol University. Last year I had to choose an optional subject and I opted for Public Relations with special reference to dealing with the public.

While in high school, I was appointed to be in charge of my school library. Therefore I think I have got some experience in this field. In addition, I passed the Certificate of Proficiency in English and the Certificate of Computer Science last year.

As I am aware that a librarian in a university has to have enough scope for his / her abilities of self-expression and of dealing with people.
